Treat Your Feet ♥

Today's blogpost is going to be about feet, so if your squeamish about feet I wouldn't suggest looking at this blogpost ^.^

I can go a really long time without taking care of my feet, and when I was younger I could get away with it, but as I got older my feet can feel it, and it's starting to show too. So today I had the time to treat my feet.

I started by filling a bowl/plastic something with hot/lukewarm water, depending on what you're comfortable with.

I always put a towel underneath it. (because I'm a mess and I'll find a way to get water all over the floor. :p )

These are the products that I always have to use when I treat my feet. A foot-scrub, foot cream, nail clipper, tweezer, nail file and some kind of foot salt :)

Today I used this peppermint scented one from The Body Shop - I had never used it before, and I loved the scent of it.

I just drizzle a little of it in my bowl and it started sizzling c:

Stick your feet in and enjoy the warmth - while you're soaking your feet in nice water, you can read a book, look at YouTube videos, wear a face mask or even do homework - This is made for multitasking ;p

When I've had my feet in for about 10-15 minutes I took a little bit of the foot scrub and started scrubbing my feet while they were still wet.

After I've scrubbed my feet I just put my foot back into the same water rinsing of the scrub and taking my feet onto a towel and drying them.

When they're dry you just wanna put A LOT of cream on your feet :D SOAK them in cream. Mine just drank the cream so I had to put a lot of coats on.

Then you take your favourite pair of socks, preferably fluffy socks and then you can go to sleep if that's what you wanna do and your feet will be moisturised at the same time ;-)

Have a great day x

Nivea Pore Refining Clear-Up Strips!

Since I was about 11-12 years old, I've always had problems with blackheads on my nose, forehead and chin.

I've never really known how to get rid of them, but recently I've been using these strips from Nivea, they're pretty pricey, but if you use them correctly they'll work and remove most of your blackheads.

It comes with 6 of these "bags" with a strip in it. This exact product has 4 for your nose and 2x2 for your chin/forehead.

When you open these "bags" this is what comes out. They're placed on a piece of plastic since the strip itself is sticky.

Before you apply it to your nose/chin/forehead you have to have wet/damp skin, I always find that it works best with wet skin.

Then you have to pull the strip off of the plastic and place it on your nose/chin/forehead.

I'm really bad at placing the nose strip, but I always start by placing the middle of it first and then forming the rest of the strip to my nose. When you've placed it you can kind of move it around, but it sets pretty quickly.

On the packaging it says that you have to wait 10-15 minutes before taking them off, but you have to wait for the strips to become hard, and that usually takes 20 minutes for me.

When they're ready to be taken off, you just grab a corner of your strip and pull, make sure not to do it too fast. It might be painful, I personally think it's fun :D

And OF COURSE you have to look at strip afterwards, it's quite funny to see what the strips pulls out, and how much it got rid off. :)

After that just wash your face and put on some moisturiser and you're done! :D

If you can't get your hands on these strips, you can use a peel-off mask and make your own strips ^^
Just take the mask and apply it on your nose/chin/forehead and wait for it to dry and just peel it off. That's a budget way to do it, and works just as well :)

Thank you for reading <3

Have a lovely day x

Too Faced - Chocolate Bar!

So... You've probably heard all you needed to, about this eyeshadow palette BUT it just launched (a week or two ago) in Denmark and I thought I'd do a review on it for those who's not really sure about if it's worth the price. :-)

First of all it comes in a really nice packaging. It looks just like a real chocolate bar with the gold foil and then the pink paper around it.
Then the palette it self is really cute, it's brown (like chocolate duh) and has these pieces of chocolate on the top.

Inside the palette the eyeshadows are placed quite randomly.
In this palette there are 7 matte shades and 7 shimmer shades and 2 glitter shades. I feel like that is a really nice combo.

TIME FOR SWATCHES :D
I forgot 1 colour :( It's a dark brown one called Triple Fudge, it's a really nice matte dark brown colour. Oh well... :(

Swatches from left to right(all matte): White Chocolate, Strawberry Bon Bon, Salted Caramel, Milk Chocolate, Semi Sweet, Cherry Cordial.
All the matte colours are soft as butter, the lighter colours are not as pigmented as the darker colours, but it's not much of a difference on the eyelid. These eyeshadows are really pigmented and you don't need much (all of these swatches are with one swipe) but at the same time they're really easy to blend and work with.

Swatches from left to right: Champagne Truffle, Marzipan, Crème Brûlée, Hazelnut, Candied Violet, Black Forest Truffle, Haute Chocolate, Amaretto, Gilded Ganache.
All the shimmery colours are definitely the most pigmented in this palette. They are also very smooth and buttery. These are also swatched with one swipe, and they came up this pigmented. I was really impressed.

As for the colours in the palette. I'll just say this, I'm a student and can't really wear smokey eyes, bright and colourful eye makeup in school, but I've still used ALL of these colours in 5 days. You can make it look really natural or you can make it smokey, it just depends on how you apply the eyeshadows and which colours you combine.

Today I took one of the darkest colours in the palette and created this look:

As you can see it's not really that overwhelming.

I would definitely say that this palette is worth every penny! If you're a neutral girl and like shimmer eyeshadow I would recommend this palette!

Here's some places where you can buy it!:

Top 10! Lip Products ♥

Hello! It's been a while, exactly a month, since I posted my first blogpost here... But I'm here with some content that you'll hopefully like :-)

I was thinking that I wanted to do a series called "Top 10!...." and then whatever I want to do under that subject. Today it happens to be lip products. I also plan on making videos about these top 10 products. So if you prefer listening instead of reading keep an eye out for my video on my channel. ;-)

(Here's the video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AkwouoY_bY&list=UUJv-SVP1yTb0XFOVeTNTiVQ )

Lip products are some of my favourites products in my makeup routine. In my opinion it makes the look complete.

Under my top 10 I have a mixture between lipsticks, lip cream, lip balm and lip glosses :-) Enjoy!

L-R: MAC Créme de la Femme, MAC Coral Bliss, Rimmel Moisture Renew Electric Plum, ELF Classy, L'oreal JLo's Nude/Cher's Nude, Essence Long Lasting Lipgloss Matte Effect Velvet Rose, L'oreal Extraordinaire Rose Melody, Maybelline Baby Lips Cherry Me, L'oreal Carresse Aqua Laquer Lipgloss Eve, NYX Lipgloss Strawberry Parfait

So as you can probably tell I mostly purchase drugstore items. I only have 2 high end products in this top 10, but that's because I prefer drugstore prices ;-P

I will be going through them all one-by-one, but first here's a picture of them all swatched on my arm. (with flash) As you can tell, I like my nudes and neutrals. :-P

L-R: MAC Créme de la Femme, MAC Coral Bliss, Rimmel Moisture Renew Electric Plum, ELF Classy, L'oreal JLo's Nude/Cher's Nude, Essence Long Lasting Lipgloss Matte Effect Velvet Rose, L'oreal Extraordinaire Rose Melody, Maybelline Baby Lips Cherry Me, L'oreal Carresse Aqua Laquer Lipgloss Eve, NYX Lipgloss Strawberry Parfait

MAC Créme de la Femme:
This lipstick is a frost, which means it's is quite shimmery, not drying and still quite good coverage. Even though it has shimmer in it, I can't feel it on my lips.
It's a purple colour with some silver & gold shimmer in it. (Depends on the lighting)
It's a really good everyday colour, it's really natural on me, and it's a lipstick I gravitate towards often.

MAC Coral Bliss:
This is a cremesheen which means it's very creamy, still opaque and at the same time a little glossy. The downside about cremesheens are that they don't last that long. You have to reapply every 1-2 hours.
I'm in love with this lipstick though. I prefer the creamier lipstick over the more long-lasting ones. This shade as well is really amazing. It's a really cute orange/coral colour. I would say it's the perfect colour for summer. (tip! Mix Créme de la Femme and Coral Bliss and you will see perfection)

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick Electric Plum:
This formula of lipstick reminds me a lot of MAC the cremesheen formula.
It's very moisturising on the lips, and this Rimmel lipstick even stains your lips a little when it's worn off.
I don't really like this specific colour that much. It's more the feeling of it on the lips I love. I'm definitely getting more shades of this. If you're good with vampy/purple shades and you like your lipsticks creamy, this lipstick is a match made in heaven for you.

ELF Lipstick Classy:
This lipstick is a 'my lips but better' colour.
You would think that since this lipstick is only like $1-2 which is crazy, because these lipsticks are the bomb!
This is also definitely one of my to-go lipsticks I can just throw on with whatever eye look I'm wearing, this colour matches everything.
They smell really nice, they're not matte but they're not shiny either. I would say that they have a nice sheen to them. They last about 1-2 hours on your lips, but I think that's amazing for the price. The lipstick itself also has a very nice smell to them. :-) BONUS!

L'oreal Color Riche JLo's Nude/Cher's Nude:
This lipstick is my very favourite lipstick atm. It's just the perfect nude for me.
It's a very sheer lipstick, but I like that. It is buildable though.
It's a very skin toned nude, but it has a bit of a pink/peach colour to it, which make it perfect.
Definitely feels like a lip balm on the lips. AMAZING!

Essence XXXL Long Lasting Lipgloss Matte Effect:
I bought this lipcream/lipgloss not long ago, but I already love it. It's really nice on it's own, but what I really like about it, you can use it over any lipgloss or lipstick and it'll just lighten the colour up a bit.
the formula is really moussey, and it feels like you're not wearing anything on the lips.
It has quite a funky smell of caramel though. :-(

L'oreal Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick Rose Melody:
This has become a favourite of mine over the last week.
The colour is a 'my lips but better' colour again, this time just more on the pink and glossier side.
It says it's a liquid lipstick, but I find more like a heavy gloss. Not that it feels gross on the lips, but it's very glossy, but just a thicker consistency. I love it. It's what I've been wearing for the past 5 days.

Maybelline Baby Lips Cherry Me:
This is the perfect tinted lip balm. I don't know about you, but I'm always terrified to put on a tinted lip balm without a mirror. I'm very bad at 'finding' my lips, but with this lip balm I feel like I can apply it without a mirror because it's easy to clean up and when it's on the skin it doesn't have much colour to it, but magically when you apply it to your lips it has a ton of colour to it. I think that's brilliant. And then it's smells amazing. (and of course it moisturises them a lot)

L'oreal Carresse Aqua Laquer Lipgloss Eve:
This is a funky lip product.
It smells really nice and sweet, and it tastes the same, which is very good.
It has a really watery consistency though, which can be a little tricky, because it feels like you haven't got any product on your lips, but you do 8-)
The colour is amazing. I do love my purply colours a lot. This has the right amount of pink and purple in it. It feels very light on your lips as well, and it wears off really nicely.
I feel like this is more like a lip stain though, since it is so watery, it dries quick and leaves a stain.

NYX Lipgloss Strawberry Parfait:
This is the only ACTUAL gloss I have in my Top 10 this time. But this lipgloss is amazing.
On it's own I find that it can be a little sticky, I know that a lot of people says that's it's not sticky at all, but I find that it is.
But is you have a lipstick or just a little bit of lip balm under it, theres no stickiness at all.
It smells amazing!
You can wear it on it own or to top off your lipstick. It's really nice either way.

Starting again! But in ENGLISH!

Hi everyone! So I thought I'd start to blog again. But this time I'll do it in english, since I do have a YouTube channel where I do my videos in english I thought a blog in english would fit right in.

On this blog I'll mostly talk about beauty, but not always! ;)

I'll be doing some reviews on products I might not have talked about on my YouTube channel, I'll also do some projects like weekly makeup bag. I'm not sure yet. But I'm sure I'll have a lot of fun with it.
If you have some ideas about what I could do blogposts about you're welcome to comment you're ideas.

If you haven't subscribed to my YouTube channel yet, you can do it at: www.youtube.com/cecilieengel1
I upload every sunday!

I'm not going to have a schedule for blogposts, just because I don't feel like I can do that yet. I have to get into things first.
But I might like it a lot and post once or twice a week. Who knows?

But that's it for today. I hope you will keep following my blog and subscribe to my YT channel. That will definitely give me more confidence and courage to post more.

Kisses!
